SMVector migration to i510 protec and i550 protec
Benefits of migrating your SMVector drive
The Lenze SMVector (SMV) has been a cost-efficient and reliable staple in our trusted portfolio of motion control products for decades. However, Lenze is now migrating customers from SMVector to their newer i510 protec and i550 protec series drives to ensure improved performance with improved feature sets that address your forward-looking challenges, without compromising their commitment to more economic solutions.
Highlights of the new i510 protec and i550 protec VFDs.

To support you throughout this migration, the MEP team has created an equivalency list between the SMVector series and the i500 Protec. Below the video, you will find the standard equivalencies for each product. Please note that many additional options are also available with the i500 Protec. If you would like to add extra options to your variable frequency drive, please visit Lenze’s selection tool:

It is also possible to download this equivalency list in PDF.
Installing your Drive
For most models, your new drive is designed to be installed in the same location as your SMVector drive, with matching mounting holes. However there are some variables you need to review before beginning installation. Specifically, the motor wiring will be different; therefore, watching this short video will walk you through the mounting and wiring to ensure safe operation of your new drive.
SAFETY NOTE: Motor wiring on the i510 protec and i550 protec differs from the SMVector.
